Happy New Year to all my Twitterers. More frequent tweeting will resume in the New Year. Until then, may old acquaintance be forgot etc xx

Thursday, 30 December 2010

Today I have finally contracted the dreaded flu. Typically the day before New Years Eve. My entire body is aching. Watching HP on couch.

Friday, 24 December 2010

Stopped a woman from accidentally entering the mens toilet and then recoiled in horror as I realised it was a bloke with really long hair.

AC MILAN!!!!!!! Shit shit shit shit shit. We really didn't need that!

Thursday, 16 December 2010

Just at the very impressive Universal offices in Kensington. Not looking forward to walking back to the station!

Tuesday, 14 December 2010

It's getting close to that strange seemingly endless period of nothingness between Christmas and New Year. I call it seasonal limbo...

Sunday, 12 December 2010

Chelsea at home today, this is it....... We need this win today. And I really fancy a Jerk Chicken from the West Indian place on the way.

Friday, 10 December 2010

Students, if you want to riot, fine. Fancy smashing a Top Shop? No problem, they're insured. But DON'T piss on Churchill's f*cking plinth.

Wednesday, 8 December 2010

It's just a cat eating watermelon but it's almost certainly the Video of the Day! http://ping.fm/fybHK
Something ironic in the fact that I awoke today petrified that I'm suffering from chronic hypochondria. I need a short break in the priory.

Tuesday, 23 November 2010

Doing a video today with Ransom notes. I spent 13 hours (literally) yesterday cutting out letters and sticking them to bits of card.
Loved Harry Potter. It was the best thing since someone conveniently decided to slice bread, thus alleviating the need to slice it at home.

Monday, 22 November 2010

New video on Wednesday. Spending today cutting up papers. I feel like that guy from Art Attack. You know, then one with the face.

Saturday, 20 November 2010

COYFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love it, 17 years and finally we beat the scum at home! Get in!!
Got all the way to the cinema yesterday. Then the ticket man over-enthusiastically tried 2 convince me that going alone was normal, I left.
COYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Friday, 19 November 2010

Is it sad to go and see Harry Potter on your own if you take a notepad so people think you're a reviewer?

Thursday, 18 November 2010

Video of the day: http://ping.fm/B1aa7 The great Brian Sewell. A man so posh he makes the Queen sound like a Dickensian villain.

Wednesday, 17 November 2010

And another thing to ponder; they had an expensive wedding just after WW2. No comparison to our current woes. A great excuse to be patriotic
People need to stop going on about a cut-price Royal wedding. Thing about the amount of tourism it will bring to the country morons.

This constant diet of Hummus and assorted flatbreads is giving me the digestive traits of a mountain goat.
O2 are by far the most useless and pathetically operated phone network in the country. Do not sign one of their soul destroying contracts.

Here we go!!!! I can't believe I'm watching a Champions League draw and my team is in it. Unreal coys spurs
I'm off to the gym, with a laptop. I bought an ipad so I could use it on the bike, but there's no Flash so what's the bloody point.

Thursday, 19 August 2010

Un petite update.

So, I thought I'd let you all know what's going on with me at the moment. I'm currently spending a lot of my time practicing the piano. I've always played bits and pieces, I've had enough ability to get by and certainly enough to aid my writing. It's only been recently when faced with the prospect of having to do a gig on my lonesome that I've realised it might be time to get some hours in. A couple of weeks ago I drove all the way to Milton Keynes to pick up my new keyboard. Korg very generously gave me an endorsement, which allowed me to buy my stunning new SV-1 keyboard. My fingers are literally hurting, one of them is potentially fractured. At the same time, I've been dealing with a great new marketing team called Sunshine HQ. They have just set up a brilliant new store section for my website, it will hopefully be up in the next couple of weeks. I am also finalising the design for my album cover with the young freelance designer Alex Woodcock. Expect some new videos in the next couple of weeks, I'm about to start filming myself doing some really cool covers and performances of my own material. Until then, take care peeps. x
Gallas! What a strange purchase. Really hope we sign a striker before the window closes.
http://ping.fm/4wPhO GIANT RATS!!!!!!!! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!!!!!!
Had a great day in Camden today. I went into the market and found an upright piano covered in sheet music. It looked amazing!

Brand new Video Blogs on my youtube page

View the Article: http://www.samroman.co.uk/news/samromanreleasesnewvideoblogs-55.htm

So I decided the other day to start posting up some video blogs on my youtube page.

I hadn't done these videos before but I thought I'd give it a go, how hard could it be just talking into a camera?

The first of these 2 latest vlogs features me and some friend going to a Beer festival in town. I'm not a massive fan of beer as you will be able to tell from my sampling in the video.

The second vlog features me showing off my collection of Harry Potter first editions. I have been a massive massive fan of Harry Potter for many years and decided to start collecting some books as an investment. Sadly I don't really think I'll ever be able to sell them, or for that matter touch them again. They sit quietly in a glass bookcase in my room, I just like knowing that I own them.

So I hope you enjoy the vlogs and if you have an account, then make sure that you subscribe for updates of my next vlog.

Today, the operators of my good friend Tom Felton's fansite contacted me and wrote an article.

They asked me a few questions about the symbolism behind my new video "Gone".

You can have a look at the article with the following link.

The keyboard from heaven

Today I had a meeting in Covent Garden, so I decided to take a stroll down to Denmark Street. I usually like to have a look in all the shops and try out the guitars. I used to have a bit of a guitar fetish and at one stage had quite a decent collection. Nowadays I hardly get to play the guitar, as I spend so much time on the piano. In my basement I have a lovely piano. It's old, out of tune, the pedals are rubbish and it's in a bad condition, but I love it. I've had it now for many years, I taught myself to play on it in fact.

When you're a guitarist, you're always looking at new guitars. They are not massively expensive (apart from the very high end ones), they are easy to store, you can even hang them on the wall. As a pianist I don't think I've ever looked for a new piano. Not only because they cost thousands of pounds, but because they usually weigh the same as a small horse. Similarly I've never been interested in keyboards, I don't like the flimsiness of them. They are generally lightweight, the keys are usually plastic and they look crap. Today everything changed, in a dramatic and presently depressing manner.

Today, for the first time I fell head over heals in love with a keyboard. For dramatic effect I will talk about it as if it were a lady, the kind of thing people do when they talk about a new car or a yacht. Her name was the Korg SV-1, she had 88 keys and made me go weak at the knees (the rhyme was not intentional). I could go on describing her, but as they say, a picture speaks a thousand words, here is the link to Korg's website.

http://www.korg.com/product.aspx?pd=562

I really really really really really really really want one. I don't just want one in fact, I need one. It's all that I can think of and I can't shake it. I played it for about 5 minutes in the shop, stopping after realising there was a very good chance that I was singing/crying loudly to myself whilst playing. People were looking at me, it all went a bit weird. I left the shop disheartened after learning that they had none in stock. Neither did the 4 other shops that I phoned in the West End area. I might offer my services to Korg as their international sales person, I think that I could do a sterling job for them, if only I could stop myself from weeping ever time I saw it. I can guarantee that it would be the only thing that I played on stage.

Anyway, I just wanted to share my feelings with all of you. Here to close this email is a youtube clip of one of my favorite pianists Frank McComb playing it and talking about his similar love affair.
